QAF Sound

Space for conversation. Sound by invitation.

Comfort before volume

Insulation under the floor and behind the fascia, laminated glass on the Emerald, door closures engineered quieter than the platform's. A guest should hear the guest.

Then the system

The current design targets are ten speakers in Stone and fourteen in Emerald, with the amplifier under the rear seat and the grilles cut in brass to the QAF pattern. Two zones — the rear seat has its own volume and its own source. Three presets: Voice, for recitation and conversation; Music; and Quiet, which mutes everything but the chime.

Outside

Required pedestrian alerts remain part of the vehicle’s safety systems. Cabin sound is intended for the people inside.

Tune a fleet's cabin.

Voice first, then music, then quiet.
