Drive
Platform information and proposed QAF engineering. Component imagery is illustrative; final configuration and regional performance require validation.
A smooth first metre. An unhurried arrival. The proposed calibration begins there.
Two layouts
The three-door carries a permanent-magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle: 50 kW, 140 Nm, driving the rear wheels through a single-speed reduction gear. The five-door carries its motor on the front axle: 75 kW, 180 Nm. Both are being considered for frequent, short guest journeys. A QAF spends its life between walking pace and forty kilometres an hour, and the useful numbers are torque from rest and the smoothness of the first metre.

eng-drive-cutaway.webpThe QAF calibration
We do not change the motor or the inverter. We change the map: a softer first ten per cent of pedal travel, so a guest is not moved before they are settled; creep at walking speed for a forecourt; a speed limit set in software per fleet, per zone, from the telematics; and regenerative braking tuned to one pedal in the district and coasting on the road.
Quiet
Electric drive removes combustion noise; motor, inverter, tyre and road noise still need attention. The Emerald's laminated glass and the extra insulation under the floor are there for those two sounds.

Vehicle-to-load is a proposed hosting option based on platform capability. Output, compatible appliances and available operating time must be confirmed for the chosen vehicle and regional conversion.
